Off Tinside bathing-pool, and eastward of it, is a stretch of smooth muddy ground close inshore. Prawns and Philine quadripartita are common in the trawl. In the mud are many Myxicola infundibulum and Cerianthus lloydi, a few Upogebia deltaura, and often Carcinus maenas and Liocarcinus puber (formerly Portunus) in shallow burrows. |
